Soft Step a Project X 8C4 for 910f 3 Wood

    I have a Project X Tour Issue 7D3 (5.5. Frequency) in my 910d and love it. Since the 8D4 (5.5) is not offered by Titleist, I am thinking of soft stepping the 8C4 for my 910F 3 wood to make it play a little less stiff.

    Do you have you any data or experience with this that you may share?

    Stupid question probably but how do you soft step a graphite shaft?

    Well a 3 wood shaft you would normally trim 1/2" so to make it play softer, you wouldn't trim it at all.  That should soften it by a half flex.
