Hello... I'm in the final stages of fitting for a new D2 driver. My current driver shaft, although Stiff hits the ball quite high. My usual miss is left. The clubfitter I have been working with had me try the Kai'li stiff flex In A 9.5 degree head. My launch monitor numbers were approximately A 12 deg launch angle and 2200-2500 rpm of spin. Ball speed near 145. He suggested I go outside and hit that club as well as the a'hina (black) Shaft. He thought the lower torque of the ahina would reduce my tendency to Go left. I tried them both outside today and I hit them both high, but not nearly as High as my current driver. The ahina (black) shaft was more tightly dispersed For sure and I loved the feel of it. I want to make sure I'm looking at the right shafts for me. My swing speed Is 101 going after it. 97-98 most other times. My current shaft is too soft, but I don't want more shaft than I can handle And create the opposite problem for myself. Thanks very much! I usually play the Pro V1x.
  2. If you're being fit for your 910 through an authorized Titleist rep/Fittingworks, then I'm sure that he/she, will fit you with the best 910 shaft/driver, for your game. That's their job.

You need to take that indoor swing outside. 12* launch angle, 150 mph, 2500 rpm, isn't going to make the ball fly too high, except possibly into a pretty strong head wind. You may need to get the launch a  little higher to maximize distance.

I thought the standard thinking was higher torque rating to decrease hook tendency.

I hit both shafts outside yesterday on the 9.5 head and I still achieved good height and carry distance, but still appreciably lower than my present driver shaft (which, I forgot to mention is a Fujikura ZCom 60, S flex, which has a low kick point...part of the height issue I realize). My primary concern is that don't get into too stiff a shaft or too high a kick point for my swing speed and desired flight.
