I was participating in a golf tournamnet benefitting the Cambridge, Minnesota high school football team. Our group was on the 175 yard 6th hole at Purple Hawk Golf Course. There was a wind at my back so I used a 9 iron. The ball bounced twice on the green and into the cup. Behind the hole was a new 2012 Chevrolet Cruze, which was the prize for scoring a hole in one. Once we saw the ball go in the hole, all 4 us started running towards the green and yelling with excitement. The sponsor had a person near the green monitoring every shot for verification of a hole in one. There was a foursome on the 7th tee who also witnessed the shot they started cheering loudly. People in the club house could hear the excitement and many jumped in golf carts and rushed to the 6th green. The sponsor later told me he had been sponsoring tounaments for 17 years and this was the first time he had to give away a new car.
