Love it. I can open that thing up so flat, I can easily flop off fairway lies. I strictly use it as an oh shi...!! club.

Anything from 60 and out, I'll use my 54.10S, and 50-30yds is my 60. 60-50 is 54 or 60 depending on what I'm feeling at the time. I used to use 60 at 40 and 54 at 50yds but I started hitting my wedges longer a year ago, and a 50yd with my 54 is harder to control now, since I'm only taking the club back to like 8 o'clock.

Mostly chip with the 54 straight up, and only chip with the 60 if I need it to land softer and open up more than 54. Other than that it's the club if I have to get it up and over something and land and stop on a time. The T Grind allows me to do that from any lie on the golf course.

Whats your favorite grind on your 60?

Id love to hear what people are using in their 60 degree wedges, whats your favorite vokey grind and why?

Great wedge fitting

Amazing job by John in identifying the best lofts, grinds and shaft. If you need the additional 1/2" in your irons, you will need it in your Vokeys, at least for the clubs used for full swings. The lie angle gets a little more complicated. My irons are 1 degree upright. My Vokeys are 52, 56 and 60. The 52 is almost entirely used as a full swing club so I get the lie angle to match my irons at 1 degree up. The 56 is a full swing club also but its my primary club around the green. And I typically only use the 60 out of bunkers (low bounce K) and around the green, almost never from the fairway. So for the 56 and 60, I go standard lie, which is 1 degree flatter than my irons. Some pros make their wedges 2 degrees flatter than their irons. When you swing a club, the shaft bows downward and curves away from you on the downswing due to the weight of the club combined with the speed of the clubhead (physics gurus please forgive my crude explanation)- referred to as the toe down effect). So at address, the toe will be slightly off the ground to make up for the toe down effect. Around the greens, you are not getting enough speed to cause the toe to drop, so the toe will be up at impact on short shots around the green. So for your wedges, think about how you use them the majority of the time and have the lie angles set accordingly. What I have described above is pretty common amount both pros and recreational players.

RE: standard gapping PW , GW, with vokey 54' and 58'

[quote user="Lou G"]My Vokey lineup is Wedgeworks 44F (42*), SM10 50-12F (48*) and 54-10S (52*), SM11 58-12D (56*), 60-04T. "Tradtional" 48-52-56-60. What is this garbage?... It's cheapier than stuff bought off Amazon...
Tour Velvet 360 cost $7 retail... You increased the wedges to $200... And now I have to buy $7 grip on top of that?...

This is not TV, any grip for any manufacturer all say Golf Pride on the bottom.
I've used nothing but Tour Velvet and Tour Velvet 360 standard for the entire 6 years I've been golfing. This feels nothing like it.
The feel is totally cheapy, the rubber is thin and very soft and elastic.
The Titlist stamping looks like a Temu knock off...
I think a Temu knock off would be better. Vokey SM11
Loft\Bounce\Grind: 58.10 V

Loft\Bounce\Grind: 48.10 F

I did the Raw finish as well. Biggest surprise for me was the V grind. I came from an M grind and found it went through the turf quicker and helped me as i dig a bit more. However, it possesses all the ability to open it up and provide versatility around the green/bunkers. There is an argument that a consistent set of clubs including the set wedges (in your case the 48 Degree) will help your game. The 48 degree is a more versatile club to be sure, but if you use your 48 degree largely for full shots and the odd pitch, then you may well be better off staying within your set.

Only real way to know is to take both clubs out on the range or course and see which is more consistent for your game. If you are able to access a Wedge fitting, they can be fantastic as well to help dial you in on what is best for your swing and your game.

RE: New SM11s

I just ordered a wedge works 62.08M. All the info so could find from back then led me to believe it was a T grind. After trying all the variations of the T grind and grinding some myself I finally had the chance to get a V grind. The only way to get one is through a fitter as they haven’t been available left handed on Wedgeworks. This is the most trusted wedge I’ve ever had and think I finally found a replacement. If you haven’t played the V grind and are
looking for something you can completely open up around the greens and still play a full shot with a steep swing this is the money maker you need! Hopefully this stays in the line up and becomes more accessible to lefties in Canada. What a wedge!

Most Versatile Wedge Loft

Understanding this is a very subjective question, curious on folks' opinion as to the most versatile wedge loft/grind for shots say 60-70 yards and in as well as shots around the green?

I am looking to add a wedge to the bag; you read many different opinions out there on 54 vs 56 with some saying they use a 60 for everything. Setting gaping aside for this scenario, curious on the TT group's thoughts of the best loft/grind configuration for a "swiss army knife" type wedge.

Thank you in advance, look forward to the dialogue!

RE: Most Versatile Wedge Loft

44F (42*) conventional 9 iron loft.
