After Titleist fitting I changed to the new GTS with an Ultra shaft. I am a 77 Y O 14 handicap player and gain 15 to 20 yards of fthe tee. Just as or more accurate them my old TM 2 year old driver. Very happy with the purchase. John B

When to switch to hybrids

Aging (50) has me considering getting rid of the traditional 3 and 4 iron. I have been playing a hybrid for these clubs and I really like it. Just kind of stings a little when you make the switch. I hit the hybrid much better though. Pride goes out the window if I save a few shots on the course.

Got fitted with Adam Lash at Breakers West a couple of weeks ago. Incredible experience with all of his fitting knowledge and techniques.

Just got them this morning and I can’t wait to try them out! Definitely taking them to Casa de Campo next week!!

Hope you’re right because creating that lighter higher launching head model probably requires different tech than the other 3 models that may be more similar. I love the earlier “1” versions so hope they launch one.

I've been hitting my G425 lst 3 wood for years and every year I want to change it to a titleist I just can't seem to find one that I feel comfortable with for some reason, and its honestly not sure what to do cause the 3 wood I have is getting kinda old

I made the switch from a G425 to a TSR1 about 4 years ago and never had a regret. I think about moving up to a GT1 but I hit the TSR so well I’ve never pulled the trigger.

I got fit on Saturday bu Nathan Ward at Club Champions in Calgary. He fit me into T250’s. All I can say is WOW! The clubs are simply amazing. I didn’t think I would leave the T150’s. The new clubs were too good to pass up. Only problem I now have to wait for delivery. Thank you Titleist for continuing improvement on the best clubs.

Still hitting 712s

I am and have been for many years hitting the same set of CB/MB 712s (4-7 CBs & 8-PW MBs) with Project X 6.5 shafts. I have wondered lately how much of a difference the new technology in irons would make in distance and dispersion. Which current irons would be the most similar to the 712 MBs? I enjoy hitting both, but seem to like the feel of the MBs better. 3 handicap.

Thoughts?

I have 712 CB 4-6 MB 7-9 irons that I played for like 3 years. Last year switched to 2021 T100 irons 4-9.
I found my T100 irons were going about 5 yards more carry. Same spin and stopping power. Marginally more forgiving vs the CB, and still marginally more forgiving than the MB. My swing inconsistencies made more of a difference then the club head.

The CB/MB feel softer, and a little nicer. But I'm not hitting them in direct comparison with my T100 on a daily basis, so on the golf course it makes no difference to me when I hit my T100. I've never hit my T100 and said, "Man I wish it was my MB."

I’m a 10 handicap, iron striking is inconsistent, so I went from the T250 Launch spec irons to the T350. I seem to be hitting them better overall. I drive the ball good, putt well and chip good for the most part. I’m hoping the T350 irons can get me in the single digits. Anyways I wanted everyone’s thoughts on my bag set up. GT1 12 Driver, GT1 5Wood, GT1 7 Wood, GT1 23 Hybrid, T350 6-PW, SM11 48 52 56 60 I game the Spider Putter. For reference. I hit my 48 100 yards, my 6 iron 160, my 5Wood 200, driver 240

Counterfeit T100’s?

Is this normal? Purchased and concerned about authenticity.

4 iron is the only club in the set with serial number. Font looks off. Tag says the club heads were made in Taiwan?

For what it's worth, I have those model irons and I have matching serial numbers on every single club 4-GW. My clubs were previously built custom fit from a fitter, not an off the rack set.
I know that off the shelf clubs sometimes will have only a serial number on the 6 iron and not all of them.
They possibly could have bought a 5-PW set and purchased the 4 iron separately. If they were purchased grey market, it could be different than clubs built in Carlsbad.

An interesting experiment 620MB vs T Series

I stepped away from the game for around 8 years. I have been back now for about 6 months. I got fitted for a blended set of T series irons PW-7 T100, 6 T150 and T250 3-5. What I have discovered is the T100's are a bit longer than my traditional yardages. (I have played 30 plus years) and the T250's are stupid long at times for example I hit the 4 iron 230 yards on a layup hole, normal swing didn't try to "go after it". That may sound great but my normal 4 iron is in the 210-215 range. Distance control is a big concern. A couple of data points as related to swing speed I typically have a smash factor close to or at 1.5 with the driver with ball speed usually in the mid to high 150's to low 160's. Now for the fun part. My son games 620 MB's with X100 shafts. I had a extensive range session hitting his irons and wow. The feel was amazing, the ball flight was a nice mid flight trajectory and the confidence they inspired in me felt like the good old days. (I previously played miz blades) So I ordered a used set and I'm giving this experiment a proper go to see if at 54 will this work for me. I know from playing blades the drawbacks but also know the consistency in feel and distance control. So the plan is to game these and if I love them, trade the T series for a set of 620 CB's as a back up set or even go with a blended set of MB/CB's. I also may consider going full T100's if this experiment fails. Before I quit my handicap was a 2.

I've tried to use T200 and Miz more forgiving irons. They would have significant distance differences. The worst is going like no spin flyers into (and over) greens... Especially the Miz, the spin was so low I couldn't hold an 8 iron or anything on a green, when I could stop my 712 CB 4 on the spot. I got rid of both of them in less than a month.

I kept playing the CB/MB combo I had until I recently picked up some T100 irons. Yes, they aren't as forgiving, but if I'm striking it that poorly I don't deserve to be on the green anyway. And I'll take a little short any day over plus 15 yards off the back of the green. With my T100 and 712 CB/MB I know my yardage, and I know a good strike is going to hit that yardage, and I know a bad one is going to be a little short. But I know for a fact it's not flying off the back into Double bogey zone.

They don't make em with numbers. They make them with lofts. If you want it to say 3 then use the one that they leave blank and put a 3 on it.
