I also want to get the GTS 3 hybrid but I have yet to see something from Titleist regarding the hybrid lineup. Only the Drivers and the Fairwaywoods got announced via photos etc. Will the hybrids get released at the same time as the drivers and fairwaywoods and there is just not anything to find at the moment? I want to upgrade my bag if possible at the same time with driver, fairway and hybrid.

Thanks in advance and greetings from Germany :)

Best score yet

I received a new GT2 9* driver and all new vokey wedges recently. I have been back now for about 6 months. I got fitted for a blended set of T series irons PW-7 T100, 6 T150 and T250 3-5. What I have discovered is the T100's are a bit longer than my traditional yardages. (I have played 30 plus years) and the T250's are stupid long at times for example I hit the 4 iron 230 yards on a layup hole, normal swing didn't try to "go after it". That may sound great but my normal 4 iron is in the 210-215 range. Distance control is a big concern. A couple of data points as related to swing speed I typically have a smash factor close to or at 1.5 with the driver with ball speed usually in the mid to high 150's to low 160's. Now for the fun part. My son games 620 MB's with X100 shafts. I had a extensive range session hitting his irons and wow. The feel was amazing, the ball flight was a nice mid flight trajectory and the confidence they inspired in me felt like the good old days. (I previously played miz blades) So I ordered a used set and I'm giving this experiment a proper go to see if at 54 will this work for me. I know from playing blades the drawbacks but also know the consistency in feel and distance control. So the plan is to game these and if I love them, trade the T series for a set of 620 CB's as a back up set or even go with a blended set of MB/CB's. I also may consider going full T100's if this experiment fails. Before I quit my handicap was a 2.

Continuation of selling the GT fairway woods

Does anyone have any insight into how long Titleist continues to sell previous models of clubs? I am a life long Titleist player since the first AP2's came out. I have purchased all the new models since then and just received my 2025 T150/T250 custom ordered clubs. I ordered them at D2-D3, standard length, 1.5* flat and standard lofts with Aerotech Steelfiber i110 regular flex.

They came in yesterday and I picked them up and unboxed them at the store. They felt heavy which surprised me since the steelfiber i110 usually swing weight a little lighter. When we checked the swing weight they all came at D6.5. and they were all built a 1/4 inch long.

I was shocked to say the least. Called Titleist and they asked to have them shipped back next day air which we did.

My question is how long does/will it take Titleist to build them correctly and ship back to me. It took over 3 1/2 weeks to get them. Will it take that long to have Titleist fix and resend.

Thanks

9 Woods The Rage

Seems to be a hot topic on Instagram these days. In 2024 I found a TSR1 23 fairway that I dialed in with an x5ct 72g S set to 40.5". It also worked with a Diamana 70 and a Tensei 65R at 41". It actually got the same distance as my 910F 7 wood that I've kept since 2019. I traded it in last year (like a fool) because I got pretty confident with a TSi1 23 hybrid.

Before I get to the next part ... history... when I broke 80 for the first time in 2013, had a Callie Steelhead 9 wood paired with a 910F 19 fairway. I've also played the Divine 9 and a couple TM. I went to a 910F 21 in 2014 or so and it, with a 910H 27, were a staple. The issue with Callies is the lie angle is a bit flat. After enough experimenting between 2017-2019 with 913F and 915F fairways, went back to 910F 21. 816H1 and it were a staple until 2024 (when I went to a TSR2 5 wood to cover the 9 wood gap).

Now the "present"... my fitter did a tweak on a shaft that started on my GT-280 and now is on my 5 wood (the GT-280 hits better with an Aldila 55). He tipped it 3/4" and the length is 41.75 and now I smoke the TSR2 and it is pretty easy to work and it completely blew the GT2 21 fairway away. Also replaced the TSi1 23 with a TSR1 26 (with the proper shaft length of 39.5").

Needless to say, I saw a GT1 24 fairway that I saw in the used bin at Golf Mart. I had the intention of returning the GT2 7 wood so I jumped on the 9 wood. The stock 40g shaft came in at C7 swing weight. I just so happened to have a Motore 65R that I had used on the TSR2 18 and attempted (after cutting 1/2") on the GT2 21 (which had a Bassara E55R at the time of trade in; it also worked on the TSR2, which was a little more clean off the deck). The Motore shaft, with a 9g headweight aft and 5g headweight forward, was literally a "match made in heaven" on the 24*

The GT1 24 is almost impossible to mis-hit and I'm using the A2 Surefit setting. It and the TSR2 18 fairway (at D3) are a formidable combo.

My thumbnail doesn't show the 8 iron and 48-10F. Can't upload images because of a "rate exceeded" error.

How many here play a 9 wood regularly?

The ladies had it right for ages. A few on the LPGA (notably Morgan Pressel and Michelle Wie) have been using them.

Gary Player praised 9 woods on "Playing Lessons From The Pros" about 15 years ago and stated he could have won the Masters a few more times had he had one in the bag.

50+ years ago Lee Trevino told golfers "Get Ya a 6 wood" and stated the same thing about winning more. For the record, I picked up a persimmon 6 wood about a year ago on eBay. It and the TSR1 23 fairway got the same distance.... lol.

Rate Limit Exceeded error - how to fix

It started yesterday with attempting to upload a new profile pic. What can I do to make sure they stay looking clean and hold the oil can finish as long as possible? Any tips and tricks help. I am considering buying a GT280 to replace my 15* TSR2 3 wood. My driver speed is around 98mph but I tend to launch it fairly high. My 3 wood launches around 12.5* off the fairway. The reason I am looking at the mini driver is because I hit my fairway wood 3-4x as often off the tee as I do from the fairway. I am hoping the GT280 is slightly easier to hit off the tee than my fairway wood but still manageable to use from the fairway on Par 5s. If anyone has any data, please share.

Putting

I have a Scotty Del Mar and thinking of getting a phantom 5.2. With that said, I can’t help but think a little more forgiveness might help. For those of you that have played both - what did you notice most going from one to the other? Feel? Forgiveness? Height?
