Bingo - one of my H.S. teammates got a new-old-stock deal (after the heel-toe model came out) on a set of these Titleist irons, and they had aluminum shafts. They had a distinctive, slightly frosted silver color that looks a lot like the pictures.

I never see a set of this model without thinking about those aluminum shafts - the only aluminums I ever actually saw in use.

Sigh... man, I'm old.

I have the same set. 1-pw Driver,3 and 4 wood. Steel shafts.

I have a set of Titleist Acushnet irons and woods. The backs of the irons have a tungsten disk imbedded AC 108. Play great especially real woods.

Wow. Great find. The irons look like they've hardly been hit. I wish I could get a look at the persimmon woods. The photo of the sole of the woods is cool, but would love to see the complete head.

Not sure what you paid, but I'm sure you'll get some offers should you want to sell.

Great set of clubs.I have a set of 1965 golfcraft continental precision built clubs.Since acushnet purchased Golfcraft Inc in 1969 and your set is identical to mine I would guess yours were made in 1969.

I found a complete set of these at an estate sale in Chandler AZ, 2-PW, and all 4 woods, including a bull's-eye flange putter, oh and the original gold leather golf bag. In the bag we're a few scorecards from Pinewood GC in Munds Park, AZ. Research I've done suggest these were the first clubs Titleist/Acushnet stamped their name on but the designer was Golfcraft, who Titleist acquired as they expanded from ball production into club making sometime in late fities early sixties. I’m pretty sure the Finalist line were ladies clubs and balls. My club pro recommend I use the Finalist ball when I was about 13 or 14. I preferred the Golden Ram because they had four in a sleeve for the same price as three Club Special balls.

Those are incredible condition clubs. I just ordered a set of vintage Titleist by Acushnet irons and would like to flow some new paint to get them looking new-ish. Do you still have the original resolution photos you posted? I'd really like to use them as reference.

I have a set near the same year as those. But yours are in pristine shape. Almost would have to be a refinish on those. Beautiful set!

Those are spectacular! What a great find! It would take every ounce of willpower I have to resist the temptation to go play with those! I would be curious to know if even Corporate Titleist has a set of those.

I still have my first clubs I purchased as a set. 1973 (?) I think. Finalist by Acushnet. They were the entry level clubs at the time, the Titleist clubs were more expensive. Forged irons, cast were just coming out at the time. Persimmon woods (1,3,5). Mine are well used!
