Just found a 'test' golf ball from Titleist at my club here at Palm Aire in Sarasota, Fl. Looks like a pro-v but it only says test on it. I've played the pro-v for years and decided to play this found ball for a few holes as it was brand new. It was great. Noticeably longer off the driver and almost as soft off the putter. I want to know what it was. Does anyone know? Thanks, JimP

Just in case anyone was on the edge of their computer chair and following this thread waiting for the latest news of the found "Test" ball................ I lost it last night... it found a watery grave, as Ben Wright would have said.

I played the "Test" ball last night for 5 holes in my league and it played well... much like the NXT Tour ball that I normally play. very nice characteristics that I'm used to feeling with the NXT.

Dave, if that was yours, you can hit a looooooooooooooooong way!

actually received some test balls about 2 years ago. lost a couple in Nebraska. I think they were actually the "new" ProV1.

The test balls play fine, Im not a perfectionist when it comes to playing found balls, if you clean them up and they look ok, I will hit em all day long!!

Test Balls are not my preference for normal play...they are experimental balls and thus sometimes have varying characteristics that may or may not be to my advantage...regardless, congrats! Have Fun!!

Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll give it a go next week. I don't normally play balls I find cuz I don't know how long they've been there and consequently don't know if the structural integrity of the ball is still intact, but I'll likely give her a ride at some point.

Hi Dave,

We do send out balls on occasion for consumer testing, and these balls can have an assortment of side stamps; including the one you described.

Looks like you got lucky and found one. Hope you like it.
