This may not be the correct thread, but, I am going to try two. I got fitted on May 30 for the GTS 2 Driver. I ordered said driver that day. It is June 24 and I still do not have. It is pretty sad that the PGA Superstore and other stores have the exact driver I was fitted for, but, I cannot get mine. Was told today it finally shipped and I "might" get next week. Very disappointed.

I took the last 2 1/2 years off from golf. I tried to get back into it last year and did a full bag fitting but it just didn't happen. Some of the clubs I got fit for were T150's with Modus 105 stiff and a GT3 with Graphite Design Tour AD DI stiff. Fast forward to this year and again trying to get back into it. Now I think the T150's might be too much club for me. I always said to myself when the day came for T250's or 350's or even graphite that it would be time to retire from the game.

For the back story, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia a few years ago along with arthritis and now it's getting worse. I cannot get a good night sleep because of the pain. My wife says I swear in my sleep as I toss and turn all night. It's getting difficult to practice or play back to back days now too. I lost 70# last year which I thought would help but I lost a lot of muscle and I am trying to relearn my swing, sequence and timing. i'm on a completely different plane now.

I'm currently using the stack system, googling every video for getting club head speed back, flexibility back, golf exercises for 50+, how to hit it further but nothing is working... Never mind stopping time, I can't even slow it down! But to be fair, I've only been at it since March of this year so not a lot of time but the gym and the stack system make the pain worse.

Winter (2024)/Spring (2025) I worked at a national golf chain and had access to a trackman whenever I worked and this was before the weight loss so my numbers were respectable for my age. 80 mph with a 7 iron and 160 carry. Last fall (2025) was my fitting and my club head speed was down to the low 70's about 72 mph on average. Right now it is at about 75 mph and I can't get it any higher than that.

I don't know if I should hold off on getting clubs until I figure this out or get fit on a bad day knowing that I can play them when I am not at my best but won't overpower them on a good day either. I can't seem to have two non-consecutive days where some combination feels good both days though. Some days the PX LZ feels good, then it's the Modus 105 or AMT Black or DG 115 or DG 105...

I have a 2023 T100 7 iron that I built as a range club with a project x lz 6.0 shaft. The days I hit it well remind of the good 'ol days but those are getting few and far between.

For reference, I was fit for the following: GT3 10* (B4 setting) with GD Tour AD DI No fairway (can't hit them off the ground) GT2 18* hybrid (A1 setting) with GD Tour AD DI GT2 24* hybrid (D4 setting) with GD Tour AD DI T150 5-P with Modus 105 stiff SM10 48*, 54*, 58*

I've had a pretty good golf life and now it's depressing to be transitioning to the next stage. I was a very competitive golfer and I was ready to walk away but now some of the dad's in my kids sports circle are trying to get me back into it because they know how good I used to be. When I stopped playing 2.5 years ago, I was a 3 and the lowest I have ever been was a +1. I never wanted to be one of those distance cheaters where I hit my 7 iron 175 yards because it has the loft of a 4 iron!

At what handicap did you get your first club fitting

At what handicap did you get your first club fitting?

And at what handicap do you think it becomes worthwhile to get fitted for the entire bag?

I'm currently playing off 35, and I'm wondering if it's still too early for a proper fitting. Part of me thinks I should improve my swing first, but on the other hand, having clubs that are properly fitted might help me progress faster. For context, I'm still taking regular lessons and actively working on my swing. I'd be interested to hear about your experiences.

T100s to 5 iron then T250 4 iron?

Just after some advice whether the jump from T100 5 iron to T250 4 iron will be too large a move/gap? I will be picking up T100 (4-PW with AMT white) shortly, and considering getting a T250 4 iron for those longer fairway shots and tees. I deploy offshore shortly for a year so cannot get in to a fitting for the T100's or a T250 4 iron. Any advice would be appreciated.

Been looking forward to this day for a very long time after somehow resisting the temptation of the GT

Really excited to see what numbers the GTS produces and whether anything can finally tempt the TSi2 out of the bag ️

I I had an awesome fitting experience with Mr. Chase Wood. The fitting was super detailed, and he tested every option to help me get the best performance possible. I was fitted on May 12, and my new T250 irons and Vokey SM11 wedges arrived at my club only 7 days later!

The whole Titleist fitting experience was amazing, and I’m really excited to start my summer tournament season with the new clubs in the bag. Thank you Titleist & Mr. Wood!

Should I cut down my driver

I have been driving the ball decently, but am always looking for more control. I have a full length driver shaft right now and see so many tips about cutting it down. I have plenty of distance and my main concern is more center strikes and more fairways hit. Is it worth it to cut it down? If so how much should I get cut off?

I ordered clubs through Titleist and had them bent 2 degrees flat per my fitters recommendation (which was a Titleist premier fitter). He also recommended 1/2 inch short. I have been using the new clubs for several months now and I have been fading the ball a lot more than normal.

Upon researching, when you shorten a club 1/2 inches, it essentially makes the club a degree flatter. So now I believe my clubs are playing 3 degrees flat. I would like to bend them back at least 1 degree. Has anyone had experience taking them somewhere to get them adjusted? I don't wanna just go to a Dick's or something, so do you just go to a trusted pro shop or is there a retailer that specializes more in Titleist?

I’m from the south central part of Virginia. Located between Danville and Lynchburg.

I was hoping someone in the group may have been fit in this area. I’m willing to drive as much as 2hrs to make sure I get the proper fitting. Not one who gives me 30 mins of their time and sticks me in a stock head and shaft without trying other options and adjusting weights to optimize the driver and ball flight.

Anyone from this area recommend a particular fitter or fitting center that they trust to do the job right?

So I’m in Chicago, not sure how to get my location changed, but there are like 50 fitters i could go to within an hours distance. How would you chose which one to go to. If i can get fitted at Medinah, think they’d let me go play the course afterwards? I know that they will all be good, maybe just look for the one that has the earliest fitting available, i guess that’s an option. The other times i got fitted i think I only had one location to go to or at least that was somewhat close.

Irons - Lighter 'B' heads for +1.5" over length build

I currently have a set of 2019 T100 with the lighter 'B' heads as I play +1.5" over standard length. I lucked my way into these as I originally ordered through Golf Galaxy, after purchasing online I followed up with their customer service as I was very skeptical about these being built with a reasonable swing weight.

Their support reps got in contact with a gentleman over at Achusnet who told them that customization to the build in regards to swing weight was not something that they did anything for. They told this to me by forwarding their email thread saying "See below for details". That exposed that gentleman's email address and phone number.

So, I called him, and he confirmed what I was already being told. However, he then mentions that he thinks that he has some *B* heads laying around and then asks, "If I can find those, do you want me to use those?".

Obviously I replied yes, please and thank you.

So, boring story short TL;DR --

** If I order a set of T100 or T150 irons off the Titleist website @ +1.5" over standard, will lighter heads be used?

** I'm looking for confirmation that these still exists and are in stock, otherwise the purchase will be point less.

Also, these heads *should* be 6-8 grams lighter than stock, is that accurate?

Fitting Location Near Piedmont Va

I’m planning to get a fitting for the new GTS series in the next 2 weeks. The 2 best places I’ve found are a short drive into NC. One is the Titleist Fitting Center at Wakefield Plantation in Wake Forest and the Titleist fitting center at Pinehurst.

Does anyone have good or bad experiences with either of these places and their fitters?

GTS3 vs GT3

I am playing the GT3 @ 10 degrees and just completed a fitting, and the numbers came back with the GTS3 @ 9 degrees. My question is that in my current driver I have the Ventus blue 6X velo-core, this wasn't available in during the fitting, so we used the Fujikura Project X Hzrdus 60 X shaft. The numbers were good, and showed near equal carry distance, but more overall distance by 10 - 12 yards. Can I expect the same or hopefully better performance if I put my current shaft in the new head? I am 64 yrs old with a 2 hcp. now, but usually during season I will drop to a 0 hcp, showing 104 - 106 swing speed, 280 - 288 total distance.

High swing speed-low consistency

I currently game players distance irons because I’m a mid-handicap (6.2 index) at my club and was looking for forgiveness. I’m a high swing speed player, averaging 110 with driver. Here’s the issue, last week a played a round with my buddy’s clubs which are blades with project x 6.5 shafts. I couldn’t miss. My irons, and fairwoods are massively inconsistent and I have gapping issues at the bottom of my bag because of the players distance irons.

Currently I game: TSI3 driver with tensei raw white 65 x 16.5 gt3 fairway with tensei 1K black 75s 19 gt2 hybrid with tensei 1k black 85s T200 4-p amt white S Vokey 46,52,58 DG wedge flex.

PW is stock 152 46 is stock 134 52 is stock 122 58 is stock 104 Yes, it’s fun to hit it long, but it’s more fun to play better and i feel as if the T200’s are too long, but I also know I need the help.

I seem to keep finding “hot spots” in the irons and I can’t control them like I would like.

Any similar handicaps with similar speeds deal with this and what was the fix?

Puring shafts

For about 20 years I would visit my close friend and “PGA teaching pro” every two years for a high level evaluation of my swing specs. The end result, for the most part, resulted in the same out come, 2° upright with a 1/2” half inch added to the Project X5.5 shaft. Life got in the way and I got older and hadn’t had it done for five years. I started to doubt that my swing was the same. This last time, I let 4 years go by and I wanted to once again eliminate doubts about my swing and equipment. This time I wanted to get fit by someone that doesn’t know me, my game or my ability (now up to a 6 handicap). Simply look at my swing/results, swap out shafts and heads, then recommend equipment based on the results. After a couple hours, the science paid off and we made proper equipment changes (stayed with Titleist ) With all that said, I have a couple questions; for you that know about puring a shaft, or have had it done, do you believe a premium/upgraded shaft needs it? How often do you have your swing evaluated (check your specs)?

Fitting Results

Curious about others experience after several fittings. I have been fit for irons 3 times in the last 12 years, all by Titleist fitters, and all 3 fittings ended up with the same shaft. Odd that my first fitting recommended 2 degrees upright, but the 2nd and 3rd went 2 degrees flat after a rotator surgery and a regular routine of golf related exercise, confirming the benefits of a fitting when your health changes. I'm still considered somewhat of a hack, but I can say that whenever I get ahold of a club with the same shaft it just feels better than other shafted clubs. Also confirms my belief that the shaft is the most important part of a good fitting. Getting older now and will be considering inquiring about graphite next time. I use KBS Tour Lite and I hear that the KBS graphites have the same feel as their steel shafts. Will be interesting, and fun.

Fitting Experiences

This past week I went to get fit for clubs at the Manchester Lane Facility. This was my first time getting fitted for clubs and I wanted to create this thread to talk about my experience and allow others to share their experiences of getting fitted for clubs.

The facility was absolutely gorgeous even in the winter, and the hospitality from all of the Titleist staff was above and beyond. They made the experience feel so personal and it helped me ease the nerves. As a gear head I loved every step of the fitting process from trying different shafts and clubs heads to seeing the numbers and improvements. A special shout-out to my fitter Chris O'Rourke for such an amazing experience and comprehensive fitting. He walked me through everything he was looking at and made me feel confident with my new clubs. I ended up getting put into the GT2 driver and hybrid, GT280 Mini Driver, T250 4 Iron, T150 5-PW, and the new SM11 wedges. The new clubs are expected to come in two weeks and I am looking forward to taking them on the courses for the 2026 season.

Gripping down & Shaft length

I am trying to determine the dynamics of gripping down on the driver. I read that you can lose distance and gain control. But how much distance would you lose gripping down 3 inches on a standard 45 inch shaft. I have read different opinions…some say they hit the ball farther - better contact, would you get more swing speed (not necessarily clubhead speed). What would adding a bit more weight to the driver head do? Way too many variables! Thanks, sorry if this has already been covered.

Driver Fitting - Marietta Country Club

I went to the Fitting Center at MCC, although I'm not a member there, the head pro has been my and my son's coach for nearly 10 years. As I've mentioned in other threads, I was fit for a TS4 a few years ago at another fitter, not associated with Titleist. The TSR4 worked briefly, but I always struggled with it and to get any kind of consistent performance.

Told Brandon my issues, my miss, and he wouldn't tell me which head I was testing at first from the very first strike - Holy Cow! - launch, flight, feel - what have I been missing all these years? Even my misses were still very playable rather than miserable duck hooks that caused instant double bogeys. I estimate 4-5 lost strokes per round just because of my poor driving. This is literally game changing. Tested two more heads, each was good, but not as good as the first.

Then we started fine tuning shafts, weight, flex, moving the weight in the head around. Ultimately going with the Mitsubishi Tensei Black in 60g, stiff, with a GT1 head, 10*, in C4 hosel position. Did it magically gain me oodles of ball speed? Yes and no. What it gives me is consistency - finding the center of the face more and optimizing the performance I'm capable of. Rather than heel and toe (or worse strikes) and maybe eeking out a 220 drive which I can hit my 3 wood farther (and 99% of the time, tee off with a 3w), I'm where I should be for my swing speed and more importantly in the fairway, or at the worst very playable.

Thank you, Brandon and Titleist. Can't wait to get it delivered and onto to the golf course if the weather will ever improve.

Iron Fitting at Titleist Pinehurst Center

Has anyone had an iron fitting at the new Titleist center in Pinehurst? Is it a better experience than a fitting thru a Titleist club fitter (specifically Jeff ?, can’t think of his last name at the moment; has fittings in the Raleigh, NC area). Do you hit off the turf with either? Pinehurst is definitely more expensive but I’m looking for the BEST experience. Shaft offerings about the same? Anyone with any experience with either please chime in. Would really like to hit the new T series and see if they will benefit me. Thanks for all replies! Rusty

Shafts for fairway woods

Do you typically play the same shafts throughout your fairway woods or have them progressively heavier?

I was fit (through a Titleist fitting) for a GT3 driver with a Hzdrus 60g 6.0 shaft and a 16.5 degree GT2 with a Hzdrus 70g 6.0 shaft. Thinking about adding a 7 wood to the bag and wondering if I should stay in the Hzdrus 70g or move to the 80g.

re shaft t300 from steel to graphite

i have ordered new set of t300 irons with graphite shafts and i have a 5 iron i want to change from steel to graphite, my fitting session indicated that reg flex 60gram would work for me, will you do that for me
