I was playing in a tournament with my wife, Tami and son Devin. It was a two man, one woman scramble at Prescott Country Club in Prescott, Arkansas. We came to the number 12 par 3. I asked Devin what was the yardage. He said 138 yards. I said to myself, “It’s hot and I’m getting a little tired” so I chose a 7 iron over my normal 8. We could not see the hole from the tee box. I hit the ball and one of the other players said "that sure sounded good." I said "yeah it should be close." As my wife and I drove closer to the green there was no ball. Someone said "it must be in the hole!" At that time my heart started to increase in pace. Mike Yates, a guy from the other team confirmed it! It was in the hole! Tami had us all gather around the hole and took a picture as I reached down to retrieve my ball. It was a brand new Titleist Pro V1 that had only been hit that one time. It was a gift for my 60th birthday from our dear friends Mark and Jeanne who just happened to be riding around with us watching us play. This was my first hole-in-one!
